2 Piece Vintage Polish "Unikat" Pottery Rabbit Cookie Jars

These (2) SUPER CHARMING little Vintage "Unikat" Hand Painted Polish Rabbit Cookie Jars, circa 1930's, actually embody the rich history of famed Polish pottery and the little town of Boleslawiec. Pottery made in this region dates back more than 6000 years! Throughout it's existence this region has had to overcome numerous setbacks including World Wars and the rise and fall of communism, but it has remained the most famous producers of pottery in the world. In fact, they introduced the first lead free pottery in the world! The term Unikat in Polish means "unique" or "one of a kind." Unikat pottery represents a higher level of craftsmanship and artistry. Each piece is unique, with variations in design and color, making Unikat pottery highly sought after by collectors. Both of these cookie jars are in excellent condition, no noticeable wear at all. They measure approximately 11.25 x 5.6 x 5.5 inches.
