    GORGEOUS early 20th century Satsuma Vase with custom cherry wood stand!!! This stunning hand painted vase includes exquisite intricately hand-painted scenes from Japanese folklore surrounded by a brilliant burst of flowers framed by beautiful gold accents. These designs along with a beautiful crackle pattern add a luxurious and opulent quality to the vase. Satsuma pottery is a type of Japanese pottery that originated in the late 16th century in the Satsuma region of Kyushu, Japan. It became particularly popular during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and continues to be appreciated today. There are no chips and very minor wear. The stand is also in beautiful condition, no visible marks.
    This vase measures 18 1/4" tall, 8" wide, mouth 6" wide and base of vase is 6 1/4". The beautiful cherry wood stand that comes with this vase is 9 1/2" wide and 5" tall.
